DM from an EX

Okay, so in Woman of Certain Age, the collection of essays I’m in the process of releasing to you guys exclusively here on Substack, I have a great story about this particular ex and his mom. We are actually friends now, despite how many times I took the bridge between us and lit it on fire.

And I couldn’t not laugh when tonight, I got this DM from him about my book, City of Likes that came out in 2022.

Turns out, as much info about myself as I share with the world, this guy has zero interest in keeping up with my life and shenanigans. How could it be true!? I was utterly disturbed, and it got me thinking… COULD HE LEGIT AFTER 23 YEARS FINALLY BE OVER ME? I refused to believe it. No. Even if he comments in the comment section below and tells me that he is happily married and not at all interested in even seeing a pic of me in flattering lighting, I’m deleting his message and blocking him. Not from seeing everything I write, of course. He obviously already has a lifetime comped membership. (that probably goes to his spam) But I will be forced to dismantle his commenting abilities until he is ready to start loving me from afar once again.
